Dynamic Community Resource Maps

A while back, I created a dynamic community resource map of the Arkansas River Valley to complete a class assignment. The original assignment was to create a community resource map identifying all the resources in my area that students with disabilities might need to locate as they transitioned from high school into adulthood. Instead of the tedious task of entering addresses and websites into a spreadsheet, I decided to create a Google MyMaps version. Little did I know then, but that project would take on a life of its own, resulting in the creation of a statewide map, publication of an article on the whole process, multiple presentations at national conferences, and a webinar with the colleagues who worked with me on all of this! You can now find our statewide map on the Arkansas Transition Services website, here: https://arkansastransition.com/index.php/digital-resource
